Tonekroup is a finnish downtempo / electronica group
whose music is made for chill stages, cafes, living rooms, bedrooms
and backrooms around the world. A mixture of electronic sounds, traditional instruments,
pop sensibility and aural film soundtracks.
Tonekroup's music is well produced and made with great passion...
Tonekroup is Tomi Kielinen and Toni Kimpimäki.
Additional performers on both on record and frequent live appearences are
Milla Kivinen & Costi Snellman (vocals) and
Pauli Rajajoki (bass).
Band's self-produced debut album "Evening with Tonekroup" also features the talents of
Dj Slow (SlowHill, former member of Pepe DeLuxe etc./vinyl),
and Mikko Kaakkuriniemi (of Quintessence/drums).
Tonekroup has gained airplay in Finland from both national and local stations (Radio Helsinki, YleQ, YleX, X3M, Groove FM…).
At the moment Tomi is writing songs with Costi to her new still un-named album, Toni is producing artists in Helsinki Records and Tonekroup is finishing the second album with Heidi, vocals, Pauli, bass, Hemppa, drums and Tomi Rikkola, viola. The new album "Walking Wounded" should be released in 07.
